Spoon Man Performance Wraps Up Summer Reading Program on August 16

Get set for an evening of fun and hilarity with the ever-popular and always entertaining Jim Cruise, otherwise known as the Spoon Man.  The Deposit Free Library is sponsoring this performance as part of its 2018 Summer Reading Program.  Cruise has been to Deposit before and never disappoints his audience.

The Spoon Man offers an interactive comedy program that is appropriate for all ages.  His performance includes impressions of other musicians, such as Glenn Miller, Elvis Presley, a heavy metal spoon player, and a rap spoon player.  There is a sing-a-long portion of the show, and audience members are encouraged to get into the act.  Be prepared if you come to see the Spoon Man.  You may wind up on stage as part of the Tennessee Mountain Band, complete with wig and costume!  Jim promises that everyone will have the opportunity to “get spooned”.  He also guarantees a stirring performance with a totally clean act.  (He never uses dirty silverware.)

The performance will be held at the State Theatre (across the street from the library).  The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. on August 16th.  Readers who have met their goals during the Summer Reading Challenge will receive prizes and certificates following the performance.
