\nThe regular monthly meeting was called to order by President Becky Hochuli at 4:00 p.m.
\nThe minutes of the last meeting (June 17, 2024) were reviewed and accepted.
\n Treasurer\u2019s Report
\nThe Treasurer\u2019s Report, 6\/18\/2024-9\/16\/2024, was given by Paul Hochuli. The financial information was reviewed and accepted.
\nDirector\u2019s Report
\nThe Director\u2019s Report for June 2024 was given by Deb Stever. The information was reviewed and accepted.
\nOld Business \u2026
\nCourier Digitizing project: Courier is now online through 2020. Our last goal is to send papers from 2021-2023 to be digitized.
\nRefinishing tables and chairs: Ryan Walker will begin working on our tables and chairs this fall.
\nNew Business \u2026
\nCircuits: Deb reported that audio books and DVDs are not circulating. She suggests not renewing our circuits in the future. We will keep the large print circuit.
\nFine Free Status: Deb suggested that we make our juvenile patrons fine-free. Following discussion, Becky made a motion and Angie seconded it to make juvenile patrons under the age of 18 fine-free. Motion carried.
\nGoing to the Voters Again: We have not requested an increase in library funding since 2020. We agreed that it is time to go to the voters again with a proposition to increase funding from $65,000 to $70,000 a year. Becky will begin the process of getting our request for an increase in our taxpayer funding on the 2025 Deposit School Budget ballot after January. The school budget vote is in May.
