We would love to have you join us for the 2024 Adventure Begins at Your Library Summer Book Challenge. In the dropdown menu, you will find a tracking sheet and all the instructions necessary to make your summer reading journey a success!
We have some fun prizes planned for those faithful readers who like to finish their goals. We’ve also planned some fun activities. Our July Dance Camp is back! Look for a sign-up sheet on the webpage. We’ve included an Aussie Adventure with Didgeridoo for a program starting at 9:30am, on Thursday, July 25, in the Deposit Central School Auditorium. We are also planning a LEGO challenge and a July Scavenger Hunt (see our Facebook page for details), some Take it/Make it handouts, and some fantastically fun story times. We are also bringing back our End of the Reading Challenge Ice Cream Social for all of our participants. Be sure to mark your calendar for 6pm, Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Your registration forms can be dropped in the book drop, mailed to the library at 159 Front Street, Deposit, NY 13754, emailed to Miss Deb at de.deborah@4cls.org, or called in at 467-2577, or private message us on the library Facebook page.
The Book Challenge is a great way to keep us all reading in the summer. It’s also a great way to learn new things, try new authors, and if you can’t take a vacation this year, reading helps you visit lots of places and meet lots of new friends, just by turning the pages. Remember, audio books and e-books count too! Please return your tracking sheet to the library by Saturday, August 3 to be counted in our stats sheets and to make you eligible for prizes at the Ice Cream Social.
